Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do your lighting creations meet electrical and safety codes?

Yes! All lighting creations utilize the finest UL© approved quality components such as sockets from Leviton and wire from Belden. All wiring and components meet all electrical codes for strict safety and maintenance criteria.

Here is a typical Leviton socket with "solid brass" (not plated) spacer. All wire ends have hand-soldered electrical terminals for enhanced reliability and safety.

What type of socket covers do you use?

I prefer to use a "solid brass" (not plated) tube for the socket covers as shown in the photo below. Cardboard socket covers with a candle "drip" appearance are available.

Here is a finished lamp holder  with a "solid brass" (not plated) socket cover.

What type of socket cover options are available for your creations?

Antique-looking candle drip socket covers, antler socket covers, and little rawhide shade light bulb covers are among several options available for your unique creation. Please call for your requests and discussion.

How do you hide the mounting screws?

Very carefully! Each mounting hole is filled with special taxidermy epoxy which is allowed to cure for several days. Then special enamel touch-up paint is color-matched, blended, and applied to each epoxy filled mounting hole completely camouflaging my life-time guaranteed assembly technique.

Shown here is an example of the epoxy "fills" over the mounting screws. The "fills" are carefully textured, sculptured, painted and allowed to set for several days. Once the process is complete, it is virtually impossible to see the mounting holes.

You state that you use "solid brass" fittings. Don't you mean that you use "brass-plated steel"?

No! All my brass fixtures are truly "solid brass" all the way through. This is true whether I use chain, tubing, rod, cast fixtures, etc.

Shown here is a "solid brass" chain with cast fittings used in a typical chandelier creation.

Are your antler creations signed?

Yes! Each creation is engraved and signed with my Trade Marked Logo symbol and Ranch Brand for permanent proof that I personally created your work-of-art.

Here is my Trade Marked logo as it appears on a typical work-of-art creation.
